About the Community Action Proposal (> 5k USDC) category

  • A Community Action Proposal (CAP) seeks funding from the BFD treasury and/or endorsement by the BFD community.

  • All funding requests must be denominated in USDC. Proposals seeking only community endorsement are in the same category as those up to 5,000 USDC for discussion and voting purposes.

  • A CAP must be championed by at least one Flag Bearer, who is responsible for initiating the Snapshot vote.

  • Before a Snapshot vote, the proposal must undergo a minimum discussion period on the BFD Forum: 7 days for proposals up to 5,000 USDC in value, and 14 days for proposals above 5,000 USDC in value.

  • To pass, a CAP vote on Snapshot requires 70% approval and must meet a quorum of 25% of eligible voters (Flag Raisers can vote on CAPs up to 5,000 USDC in value, and Flag Bearers can vote on all CAPs).

  • Only Flag Bearers may post proposals on Snapshot.
